He was 63 years old. Simon joined B&CVSC’s football section in the mid 1970s having been poached by the infamous Frank Kilgallon whilst working at Prestige Group in Burnley.

He later served as B&CVSC General secretary for a number of years. He also served many years as Grounds Chairman spending many hours looking after all pitches in equal measure

Always had a cheeky sense of humour he was a great contributor to many a club event.

A very good friend of the Calder Vale / Burnley Rugby Club who will be sadly missed by all his Belvedere & Calder Vale friends. RIP Simon

For those wishing to attend, Simon’s Funeral is on Friday 8th March 2:30pm at St Luke’s Church Brierfield, then onto the Crematorium followed by his wake back at Belvedere & Calder Vale Sports Club.
