Burnley make hay while the sun shines!

It was Derby day as Burnley travelled to nearby Clitheroe.As expected the game was very to begin with.Burnley eventually got the upper hand and started to dominate possession particularly upfront from set pieces this allowed Burnleys talented back division to reap dividends.Elllis Wignall scored his first ,first team try and proved a dominant force in the front row and the loose proving his development is going in the right direction.James Finucane was excellentin throwing in at the lineout providing the right platform for Burnley as they began to dominate.Man mountain Alex Woodcock had some excellent runs one resulting in a deserved try for his efforts.Three more tries were added through Liam Canning,Dan Charles and James Redford.The second half started as the first ended with more Burnley dominance and further tries added through Redford and man of the match Eduard Handford.The home side never gave up and came back with some excellent pressure which netted several tries.Burnley however upped it again with good runs from Canning and Marcus Duxbury to release the backs allowing Kris Hiley to score his first first team try.Rick Griffiths adding another.FT 55-17.
