Today we say bon voyage and au revoir to Yann and Camille who after two years in Burton move onto to the next chapter in their lives as they move back to France with Yann securing the head groundsman job at Perpignan RFC.
Yann played the majority of his time with the A XV and was a player we could always rely on and be available each Saturday. He also regularly attended training sessions and I enjoyed practicing my limited GCSE French vocabulary with him. Camille joined the Burton Women’s team and brought with her a vast amount of playing expertise and the ability to play in a wide variety of positions, always stepping up to the challenge in front of her and making the team stronger as a result.
Both quickly became key playing members of their respective teams both on and off the field, never missing an opportunity to join in with social activities.
Yann and Camille will be sorely missed by all of their fellow players and coaches and Burton Rugby Club wish you all the best for the future. You are always welcome back at Burton Rugby Club and we hope you come back to visit soon.
In the meantime, there is already talk of a new tour destination on the horizon!
As a memento of his time with Burton, Jack Bartram and some of the lads arranged for a framed shirt to be presented to Yann. Thanks for arranging Jack.
