Burton V Loughborough

Sunday morning saw us host Loughborough at Burton on another wet morning with a squad of 20 lads.

Burton came out full of confidence and were rewarded with a try in the first five minutes after a great catch & fast run from Mitchell who scored the try. Burton showed some great tackling which prevented Loughborough from being able to score in the first half. Burton were strong in the scrums and determined in their rucking enabling Marcus to get the ball and score our second try of the first half.

Loughborough came out fighting in the second half and despite a great run & tackle from Mitch, they still managed to score a try in the first five minutes. Loughborough were determined to stay in the game and scored another quick try. Using their strength Burton made use of some strong scrums & rucks which saw Cameron drive the ball over the line for a try. Ahead again, Burton were determined to win the game and following a good kick from Ollie, which was caught by Lawson who scored the final try of the game.

Burton showed great team work, staying positive throughout the game, using their strengths when the game got tough. The lads have had a hard season, but their hard work and determination is starting to pay off with some great results - well done lads !
