Lichfield 10-25 Burton
Burton started strong and an improved defence soon forced an error from Lichfield, which Mumford benefited from for the first score. The Crofters then upped the anti, and all the boys showed good powerful running and excellent support play. Another passage of good play saw Fitzsimmons break the defence to get tagged on the line, then feeding Mumford for his second. Some good tagging saw Lichfield scratching their heads, Spendlove popping up in the right place to storm through the defence to score. A couple of Lichfield scores saw them close the gap, until Blackham went a straight line through the opposition to score. Mumford completed the scoring to give Burton a deserved victory.

The second game saw Lichfield come out strong, the Burton defence again held strong, forcing a mistake which Spendlove pounced on to open the scoring. Despite some good defence Lichfield eventually levelled the scoring. A couple of errors by Burton then allowed Lichfield to pull in front. More good running and passing then saw Jones find the gap, only to get tripped and adjudged to have dived, only for Lichfield to run the length of the pitch to dive perfectly into the corner to score. Keeping their heads up, Spendlove showed excellent support play to score twice more, but Lichfield never surrendered their lead.
Lichfield 15-35 Burton
The third game saw Burton gift their opponents with the opening score. But then the defence came into play and Burton started running some good lines to constantly open up their opponents. Some good support work allowed Mumford to get a couple of trys. Tolley was rewarded for all his defensive work with a try of his own. With the defence looking good, Burton were able to attack at will, Blackham running a good line to score and Spendlove grabbing a couple before Mumford finished the Burton scoring.
