BPWFC do Jay proud

What can we say a purely fantastic turnout today to say our final farewells to Jay. It was an amazing experience for everybody and the Brewer family were extremely proud and honoured for the turnout.

Once again all associated with our club did not let us down. We rallied around each other and we supported those who needed us in their own hour of need and we did not disappoint. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves tonight. Jay would have been delighted. With today I promise you all that.

The result was disappointing we know that but also a massive bonus was seeing little Luke Lester at the ground. Mum Clare Lester and dad Anthony Lester brought Luke along today and he to wore his Burton Park Wanderers scarf and hat. His smile lifted all of us to know what he has gone through and still smile - that's one brave boy.

Finally thanks must go out to the following people. Kirsty Ward Nick Ward Simon Scarfe Sarah Scarfe, thanks for helping me out just as you always do. To Mark Patrick for sorting the sound system and music, Spencer Newcombe for doing burger van along with simon. To dave Borrett for doing the gate for us. Michaela Wills for doing post match food. To all the bar staff and Graham Coles for sorting and producing a great pitch and finally my wife Jane Glendenning for helping me and guiding me to ensure it all came together.

To see all our youngsters out on the pitch was for a chairman an amazing site I was so proud of everybody and thank you all for braving the cold.

Jay will have been a very happy boy today and it's all down to all of you.

Thank you all so much

Chairman - Stewart Glendenning
