IN MEMORY OF ALAN COOKE - A 'REAL GENTLEMAN'

12 months ago we were extremely saddened to hear of the sudden death of local Referee and friend of the club, Alan Cooke.
Alan had been a referee in the Midland Combination league (now known as the Midland Football league) for many years and if ever we needed a pitch inspection on a Saturday morning Alan would always make himself available and when he was not officiating on a Saturday, he liked to come down to the Cadbury recreation ground or TSA Sports Ground to watch our first or reserve team. This confirmed his total love of this magnificent game of ours.
Alan was a complete Gentleman and will be notably missed by local football and all those who knew him.

In memory of Alan and in order to raise funds for St.Mary's Hospice, Alan's daughter, Julie, has organised a charity fund raising night - details as per the attached flyer.
