Hallen woe

Heath went into this game with the hope of ending the Hallen hoodoo, but no we put in a truly pathetic performance against an ordinary Hallen side.
On their very first attack we conceded which was all of two minutes.
We did then pen the hosts back into their own half for long periods without really creating too much,although it could and should have been so much better if the final ball was delivered with any quality.
We huffed and puffed but simply couldn't blow a candle out let alone the Hallen house down.
Hallen were dangerous on the break but again most of that was of our own doing.
Just as half time was approaching Heath drew level when the one quality ball into the box was headed powerfully home by Matt Huxley.
At the break the shout was it couldn't get any worse, how wrong can you be as the Heath continued to give the ball away cheaply and our hosts gave it back just as cheaply.
With 20 minutes remaining the icing on the cake came when we gave away a cheap penalty after a rash challenge, in all fairness it was a thunderous penalty that the keeper did well to get anything on.
So 2-1 down and still the thought was we could get ourselves back into the game, but no it wasn't to be and although Sacha Tong was very unlucky when the home keeper made a super save to keep him out and another terrific block when Matt Huxley broke clear Heath were very poor on the day and the Hallen hoodoo continues.
I am sure we will all look forward to returning to the Hallen centre in April to put things right.
