Although this was not one of the Heath’s best performances it was still a good all round solid performance that resulted in a well-deserved victory in this F.
A cup-tie.
The Heath started brightly and were causing Slimbridge problems right from the start and on 10 minutes a George Boon free kick found Joe Chandler unmarked on the back post to head Heath into the lead.
Slimbridge were awarded a penalty on 29 minutes, which was fired into the top corner to put them level, and this is how it stayed until half time.
The second half saw both sides struggle to cope with a hard bumpy pitch that prevented any real good football being played, but the Heath side stuck to their task and on 55 minutes Sacha Tong got away from his marker to curl a great effort into the bottom corner of the net.
Although Slimbridge tried to get back on level terms it was a fairly comfortable second half and Heath will now play either Bishop Sutton or Shortwood in the first qualifying round.
Well done again boys a great result for the club.
