Heath welcomed local rivals Longwell green to Springfield and came away with a well deserved 3 points.
Heath started much the brighter of the sides but were unable to convert chances into goals with Matt Huxley Simon McElroy and George Boon all going close and the visiting keeper making some outstanding saves.
As usual when the ball is not put away the other team goes up the other end to score which is exactly what happened.
Longwell did then have a few breakaway opportunities but were unable to increase their lead, so going into half time a goal down was not what we were expecting especially after having so much of the play.
The second half saw Heath come out with a more positive attitude as it wasn’t long before George Boon equalised with a low effort into the far corner.
With the goal in the bag Heath were now looking to go on and win the game and with 65 minutes gone Simon McElroy was brought down in the box for a penalty, Matt Huxley stepped up to score with ease.
George Boon then got his second and Heaths third to complete a good nights work for the Heath and another important three points.
