The opening exchanges saw the home side try to draw the Rhinos in to an arm wrestle however Cadishead kept their composure and took the lead after 10 minutes when Josh Williams scored following a Josh Grundy break and Brad White added the conversion.

The Rhinos stretched their lead on 26 minutes when Matty Sloan powered his way over to score and once again Brad White added the extras.

Minutes later Cadishead shipped the ball wide for winger Luke Connor to score in the corner giving the Rhinos a 16-0 lead.

South Ribble were causing some problems though and hit back on 37 minutes with a converted try.

Just before the break a Brad White pass put Josh Williams through a gap to score and the conversion took the half time score to 22-6.

The Rabbitohs started the second half brightly and a try just after the interval brought the score to 22-10.

The Rhinos had their backs against the wall and it was strong defending from Tom Connor and Nathan Vernon which kept the home side out.

On 57 minutes full back Chris Wareing cut through the middle to score beneath the sticks and Brad White once again added the 2 extra points.

Next up was Harrison Whittaker who collected a Brad White kick to score out wide and put the Rhinos 34-10 ahead.

A well worked try out wide for South Ribble saw them reduce the Rhinos lead to 34-14 before Joe Kelly broke the line and showed great pace to race 50 meters to score .

The final minutes saw the Rhinos take 2 points from a penalty in front of the posts to take the final score to 40-14.
