The Rhinos started well bossing the early exchanges and they took the lead after 6 minutes when Ben Connor collected a Tom Connor pass to score and Brad White added the extras.

They then extended the lead when Brad White scored following a 1 on 1 ball steal and Alex Speakman kicked the conversion putting the Rhinos 12-0 ahead.

Instead of kicking on though the Rhinos dropped down a gear and a high error rate and penalty counted invited Runcorn back in to the game and on 23 minutes they scored as the Rhinos failed to control a kick.

The final 10 minutes before half time continued to see the Rhinos cough up ball as they limped home to a 12-6 half time lead.

Cadishead started the second half much brighter though with an early try from Shea Skillicorn taking the score to 16-6.

Matty Sloan then burst over from close range and Alex Speakman added the conversion to extend the lead to 22-6.

The Rhinos were taking control with some strong running and big hits from Marcus Taylor and Josh Williams and next up was Nathan Vernon who collected a Tom Connor pass to score.

Runcorn were not done though and they shipped the ball wide for a well worked try to take the score to 26-12.

The final minute saw Matty Sloan steal the ball and sprint 60 meters to score under the posts and Alex Speakman added the conversion to seal a 32-12 win.
