Janice returns!

A big welcome back to EHC for Janice Hudson-Windsor.

After her time as assistant coach for Edinburgh University 1st XI in the Women’s Premier League and European Championships, Janice has returned to take over coaching our Women’s 1st XI.

Janice takes over from Zoe, who is moving to Manchester in the Autumn, having delivered cup-winning success for the club. Many thanks for all you have given us and very best wishes for the future, Zoe.

Janice is not only taking on the top-level coaching role but is also our new club-wide Head of Hockey.
Janice will oversee everything we do in adult and youth hockey, outdoor and indoor, with a remit to drive even greater enjoyment and success across the club.

Janice is determined to develop ever better coaching and umpiring, inspiring a life-long love for the game. In her words…….

“My aim is to form connections with the players I coach and learn how to get the best from them in the Hockey environment. I love to share my passion for the game and hope to create a life-long love of the game for all the players in my care. It is my belief that there are learning experiences in every training session and every game, both for the team and the individual. While I do love winning, I try to look at what success really means in different circumstances. Sometimes success is a medal or trophy for the team, and other times, it is small victories for the players and the realisation of learning moments. I try not to take myself and life too seriously and try to enjoy every moment of coaching.”
