Second (friendly) game in, and we've already seen some signs of improvement against a tough opposition. We benefited from having a few more of the regulars in place from last year allowing us to adopt more familiar positions.
Positives included a father/son (and Matthew) combination for a goal that nearly rivaled that of the climactic scene of Return of the Jedi (nearly) and a clear shift upwards through the gears in the second half as our more established combinations started to to click again.
The final score wasn't exactly flattering, but with flexibility to match Mr Impossible and reactions to match The Flash, Callum prevented this from being much worse.
Clearly we're moving in the right direction, so it's all the more important we get the numbers at training to give a good dose of the WD-40 to the rust and keep moving forward to start the season firing on all cylinders.
