As vs Inverleith

Then it was the turn of the As with some players drafted in late to cover for call-offs. We were off the mark really sharply and getting behind their defence but it was an excellet reverse shot from top circle by Carys which gave us an early breakthrough. That was quickly followed by a 2nd for Carys after a bit of a goalmouth scramble. We probably ran with the ball a bit more than we should have after that but our defense were mopping up most things outside the 25m. Carys almost finished the half with a great assist when a left to right pass found our winger in space and with support. We want to get more clinical at finishing that sort of chance before the defence scramble back.
Inverleith started strongly again for the 2nd half (maybe a lesson for the coach there....) but we also created a "corner" opportunity - unfortunately the first shot was rather high (looked spectacular though!). Kate kept her head and the ball on her stick to nab the 3rd with some good close skills. That eased the pressure when they pulled one back. Their goal and some changes led to us moving the ball a bit quicker back to front and another "corner" where we used the number advantage and Sophie squared for Sorcha to finish. 4-1 - Well done everyone!
