Scottish Cup Round 1

After the performance of our u16s in the u18 Cup we were looking forward to the opener of the u16 season - and we certainly should have been!
Within 3 minutes we had the opener when Phoebe coverted and another followed pretty quickly. Iona then bagged 3&4 either side of the 1st quarter break. The best move actually produced save of the match when Megan deflected a ball on teh penalty spot and it ended up over the bar! Sophie got in on the act with a back post tap in from a Tallulah strike (I think). Iona completed her hat-trick before the half-time break. In the 2nd half we worked hard to get players ahead of the breaking player and Iona and Phoebe collected another 3 before Iona got th annoying (for the gk!) touch on an Orla shot to make double figures. Megan finally collected her back post deflection. Both Orla and Faye and been breaking lines and driving toward the circle and Orla finished one with a reverse shot to get the final goal. Too many good moments to comment on but in the final quarter when we (eventually!) created a bit more width we looked excellent!
