Last year Caledonian Thebans RFC decided to honour the members of the Club who have given their all to keep the team going.

I had the privilege to introduce the first ever inductee Paul Gardiner to the Hall of Fame. This year we have decided to induct a celebrity wing into our elite group.

In order to be inducted a person has to have done something over and above their call of duty for the Club.

There are two particular people who certainly stand out and deserve to receive this award, despite them not actually being members of the Thebans.

Let me give you a brief description of these Clinic Behemoths;

The first can only be described as the Judge who sees all and hears what he can be bothered listening to to announce his “guilty” verdicts.

He is a force to be reckoned with on and off the pitch with his twinkle toes, slender waist line, razor-sharp tongue and a hoop like a vortex that never gives up.

He has doomed more ruggers to a dirty pint than you can shake a dildo at and has himself felt the cold hand of justice for unleashing the aforementioned hoop at almost every Rugby Clinic.
And who can forget his naked streak at the Hadrian Cup a few years ago! #shave your back

The second inductee is a legend on the mic. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for his ball-handling skills. I’m pretty sure he never got his own back on me for my spearing him two years ago as he was inches away from the try line.

This man is big, manly, rugged… then she speaks and the preverbal diamond purse falls out his mouth.

This man is our genuine resident DILF and even at the tender age of 57 still attracts the hotties.

In all seriousness, it has been a complete pleasure to play against both these men and to have them be involved in the Thebans Rugby Clinic each year. They bring laughter and joy to everyone who attends. They also provide many, many red faces of those who are put before them in the dock!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am honoured to induct to the first ever Hall of Fame Celebrity Wing Gary “Margo” Newcomb and HRH Tom Hawkins.
