On Saturday 31st May, Boars midfielder Tommy Morgan made his international debut for Eswatini. Tommy has now been selected for Eswatini's upcoming COSAFA Cup Group C matches against Madagascar and Tanzania, taking place on the 9th and 11th of June, respectively. Both matches will take place at the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
After making his debut, Tommy said:
“Making my international debut at 19 is a moment I’ll never forget. I came on with 25 minutes to go and immediately felt the intensity—the pressure was on another level. I had to settle in quickly and make the most of the time I had. It was a proud moment for my family and me, knowing how hard we’ve worked for this. Playing alongside players I grew up watching on TV and finally stepping onto the pitch for my country made it all worth it. It’s given me even more motivation to keep pushing, especially with the COSAFA Championship coming up and some tough, highly rated opponents ahead.”
Everyone at Eversley is incredibly proud of Tommy and the strides he is making both on and off the pitch, having made 12 appearances for the First Team during their successful 2024/25 campaign. We would like to wish Tommy and the rest of the Eswatini squad the very best of luck in their COSAFA Cup matches.
