Last seasons under 18 duo have signed for the first team after impressing in training and recent friendlies. Declan Mcstravick and Oscar Webster were important players for the under 18’s and the reserve team last year, helping the reserves achieve promotion and the under 18’s to a cup final. Dec is an energetic, ball-playing midfielder and has really impressed in the midfield in both of the friendly matches. Oscar is a more attacking player who can play out wide or anywhere in a front 3, and showed his quality in yesterday’s draw at Brislington with a fine goal.

Joint manager Trevor Tawlings has this to say: both Dec and Oscar have shown great attitude at both training and our friendlies. They are both more than capable of playing at this level and will be a big part of this seasons first team squad. This is just one example of us now looking to bring more of the local youth players through from the under 18’s and reserves into the first team.

Both players will be playing in Tuesday nights friendly at home to Amesbury Town.
