Skipper Liam Weeks again won the toss and elected to bowl first, former pole vault school record holder Ryan Downing bowled with great pace with the hurricane wind down the slope and took 4-19 (all caught behind by Weeks) to leave Ludgvan 39-5 after the early stages. Dan Hocking bowled a tight 6 over spell against the wind to give Camborne early control. After 8 rain interruptions and everyone now up to speed with the new feather weighted covers Ludgvan eventually were bowled out for 142 after 46.5 overs. Josh Stevens(38) and John Hosking(22) held the innings together with the help of 35 wides. Sage Masher span figures of 4-26 to wrap up the innings, Sam Pooley also contributed with 2-26.
Camborne then replied with 23-0 off 6 overs before the rain finally set in and unfortunately the cancellation was inevitable. 11 points were gained from the days play, so Camborne stay in 2nd.
Next Saturday a trip to scenic Newquay awaits, followed with a Vinter Cup away tie at St.Gluvias on Monday 22nd.
