On a warm day at Roskear, Camborne skipper Weeks elected to bat against 9 man Troon. Nick King made a quick 32 before being bowled through the gate. Simon Hosking(43) & Sam Pooley then added 96 for the 3rd wicket before Hosking sliced a catch to cover. Liam Weeks then smashed a rapid 52 to add a further 101 runs with Pooley. Pooley was then brilliantly caught at long-on for a classy 86 with around 3 overs remaining. Late wickets fell as Camborne finished on 256-8. Will Eva claimed 4 late wickets.
In reply Troon slipped to 4-2 as Pooley(2-26) bowled both openers. Adam Rodda scored 64 to boost Troons score to 140 all out, Ian Goldsworthy made 22. Nigel Endean showed his worth yet again taking 2-29 from his 10 overs.
Camborne travel to St.Minver this Saturday knowing 2 victories from the final 2 games would secure promotion back to the Premier League.
