When fly half David Mankee walks out to face Cleve this Saturday he will join elite group of players who've made 300 senior appearances for the club.
This acheivement would have been special (if not unheard of) a quarter of a century ago when the 1st team played around 45-50 games a season, but now with teams now playing just over half those number of games it a remarkable feat.
31yr old David first played for the Cherry & Whites on 8th November 2003 against Newton Abbot at the tender age of 17 when the team were in the Western Counties West. We went on to win the league that season losing just 1 match on the way with Mango's boot accounting for a lot of the 647 points we scored.
David has spent 13 of the last 14 years playing at the REC (where he has been the leading points score each season) moving for just one season to play National 2 rugby at Redruth. He's represented Cornwall on a number of occassions (not as many as he should though) and has a County Championship Winners medal.
Earlier this season David past the 2,000 points barrier for the club and is the Cherry & Whites all time leading score!
We would like to congratulate 'Mango' on his achievement and hope his trusty boot see's us clear to another victory at the REC on Saturday.
