And the Battle continues.
One of the oldest continuous Club fixtures in World rugby will see another chapter added to it's ongoing story on Boxing Day when South West Premier League Camborne host National 2 Redruth for the Roddas Milk Cup trophy.
The Cherry & Whites are the holders but the Reds are determined to get the trophy back, so are sending their full 1st team squad of 25 players to the REC. Camborne have selected the strongest squad they have available for what's going to be their toughest fixture of the season.
Fortunately the hosts didn't pick up any fresh injuries in the weekends victory over Okehampton, so the majority of the squad will feature on Thursday.
There are some exciting match ups all over the pitch and with the County selectors present there's some added spice to these confrontations. None more so than Taron Peacock vs Jack Oulton in the clash of the no.9's or how about the experience of Redruth's back row forward Mark Grubb up against Camborne's rising star Jordan Nicholls ?
There will be no tougher battle than in the front row where hooker Tommy Southworth is likely to face Richard Brown or Andrius Zacharovas could lock horns with the Reds Craig Williams.
One things for sure with local bragging right as well as a trophy for the winner neither team will be taking a backward step.
