Cambridge Schools under 13's progressed to the quarter final of the ESFA Trophy with a comprehensive 5-1 victory over Sheffield SFA on Saturday at Queens' College ground.
Alex Todd opened the scoring on 20 minutes and Cambridge extended their lead on the stroke of half time through Alfie Lee, to go in at the break 2-0 up.
Gabriel Muffet extended the Cambridge lead on the hour, and six minutes later Sheffield scored to set up a tense finish. Cambridge had other ideas and a quick move saw them extend the lead through Archie Stocker. Jacob Stannard rounded things off on 70 minutes to put the gloss on a great performance.
Cambridge will travel to either Knowsley or East Riding in the quarter final.
