1st team win 4 - 1 at Chatteris; Reserves lose 4 - 3 hosting Bumpstead

It was a Saturday of mixed results for CUP FC, with the 1st team winning and the Reserves losing.

The 1sts travelled to Chatteris Town looking to make it 3 wins from 3 over their opponents, after victory in their opening home game of the season followed by cup success in October. CUP started well, scoring twice in the first 10 minutes through Dan and Bradley, before a late brace by captain Sam saw a 4 - 1 final score in this Kershaw Premier encounter. Press are now up to 5th in the league table.

The Reserves hosted 3rd placed Steeple Bumpstead aiming to inflict defeat on the visitors and record the double for the season, after 1 - 0 in the reverse fixture. A solid start saw Ollie open the scoring, before a sloppy 10 minute spell meant CUP trailed 2 - 1 at half time. Bumpstead increased their lead to 4 - 1, before a fightback (all be it too late) saw Ryan T then Ollie reduce the arrears to 4 - 3. Defeat sees Press drop to 12th in Senior B.

Training takes place from 6.30 at the Cass on Tuesday, ahead of the weekend, when only the Reserves are in action as they host March Town United Reserves in the league.
