Saturday was a tough day for CUPFC.
The 1st team were defeated 2 - 1 at West Wratting in the Kershaw Premier League KO Cup semi-final, agonisingly missing out on a final place. The hosts took a 2 - 0 lead into half time, with Knight-Percival getting one back in the second half, but CUP couldn't quite find the equaliser needed.
The Reserves drew 2 - 2 at home to Newmarket Town Reserves in Senior B, twice coming back from behind to secure a good point against a side 2nd in the league table. However, there was delay during the first half after a serious injury to Roberto Llena Morillo, which was later confirmed as a double break of the right leg.
The club's best wishes go to Roberto who will be supported through his recovery.
This Saturday, both sides head west of Cambridge for away league fixtures. The 1sts travel to Eynesbury United in the Kershaw Premier while, around a mile away, the Reserves face Eaton Socon Reserves in Senior B. Each match is a 2pm kick off.
