1st minute goal for Cherry Hinton not enough to stop dominant Reserves
The Reserves defeated Cherry Hinton Reserves 5 - 1 in their first pre-season friendly of 2016-17.
CUP FC struggled to get started and conceded inside the first minute after a sloppy defensive mix-up. The team got over this setback quickly, building into the game and after 15 minutes were clearly on top. Jose Patricio struck in the 20th minute to equalise before the first 30 minute period came to an end.
One change was made at the start of the next period with new signing Rob Jones coming on up front supported by Jose, and staked his claim for the season with a hat-trick to give the Reserves a 4 - 1 lead by the 60th minute. CUP then controlled the final period of 30 minutes, with two further new signings coming on, and scored in the final minute through another new signing Guye.
A positive and dominant display by team mixed with players from 2015-16 and new signings
