Camelford RFC emerge stronger after tough match in Plymouth.

Saturday 22nd August saw Camelford RFC play their first game of the season at Plymouth Albions Brickfield's ground against DHSOB.

A fantastic game of 2 halves finished 26 - 26.

Camelford RFC started the game brightly, and the first score from the travelling side was scored by Luke Palmer, conversion added by Ben Palmer. With Camelford working hard a penalty was awarded to the visitors inside their own half, openside flanker Callum Fritchley some how managed to find a gap and run in a wonderful try after captain Carl Rockell had elected to run the penalty.

Camelford were not finished yet in the half and not long after Carl Rockell also dotted down after a sustained period of pressure from Camelford. The half finished with Camelford RFC in the lead and looking forward to the second half.

The second half saw DHSOB introduce 11 fresh players to the game, at first it looked like this had not stopped Camelford as they racked up a further score from scrum half Karl Lovell.

But unfortunately the challenge of keeping up with fresh the legged DHSOB team proved a frontier to far for the Camelford lads as DHSOB levelled the score.

A hard fought game between to even sides, that Camelford will take a lot of positives from and take down to Helston the 29th August.
