Whether you are a returning player or family, or a new member we look forward to welcoming you back to Chaulden Lane this weekend!

Seniors in action

Ahead of their first league games of the season later in the month, our senior players will be playing their first game of rugby since March 2020, this Saturday (Sept. 4th) when they put all their hard preseason work into action AWAY to OAs at Woollams Playing Fields. Kick off is 3pm and all our members are invited to come over to St Albans and cheer on the lads!

The kids are back!

This will be followed on Sunday (Sept. 5th) by the return of our minis and youth sections to something approaching pre-pandemic normality!

All age groups will return to the full game, subject to the age grade requirements. The only slight anomaly is that each age group (U7s & Colts excepted) will continue to play to the laws of the previous year’s age group up until the Christmas break e.g., U10s will play U9s laws and game variations etc. This change is simply aimed at helping the players having missed so much of the previous season.

In terms of Sunday mornings, all age groups are back on site at the same time, with the pre-pandemic start of 10am. Please arrive early enough to allow the training sessions to start promptly. Site maps with pitch allocations can be found HERE detailing where each age group will train, initially for the first few weeks. We will announce further tweaks once the fixture list is fully in place for the Mini’s and the Youth Age group teams.

OPRO are visiting the club this Sunday for mouthguard fittings. For further information on the pre-ordering process & booking please CLICK HERE.

The clubhouse will open on both days, so please pop in and have a beer or a soft drink. Lynn and the bar staff look forward to welcoming you back.

Information regarding the new seasons subs and membership packages will be published over the next few days.

Finally, just the obvious reminders, although this is all good news, we’d like to ensure we are all being responsible and playing our part in providing as safe an environment for players, members, volunteers and staff. So please continue to observe best practices and please do not attend the club if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness of any form.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the club this weekend!
