Although sunning myself in Spain for a well earned break the squad travelled to Harpenden.
Following some injuries and late cry offs only 17 of the team where available, which worsened quickly when Big Mat ruled himself out of the game during the warm up.
Harpenden had all 26 of the squad available.
Reports suggest that following a quick realisation that Hemel were no push overs a sudden 8 player change occurred within about 10 minutes of the start to bolster the Harpenden team with a big influx of A team players.
The game ebbed and flowed with an exchange of points with Hemel remaining less than a try behind until the last few minutes when Harpendens larger squad managed two quick tries when the tiring Hemel players were out flanked.
Ed sustained an injury that had left him sidelined until Christmas but yet again under his captaincy and hard team work the side continue to out perform local teams.
Yet again no shame in the loss against a much bigger team who used their number superiority, rather than player skills, to win.
Camelot continue to march onwards and with returning players will be stronger.
Confidence is high
