A beautiful day in Bedford on Sunday saw the u8's undertake their first (non)competitive action of the season. We entered two teams into the competition, both of which competed in separate leagues of six teams.
It was great to see both teams put in strong performances on the new, larger u8's pitches. There was some great attacking play from both teams but it was the support play that stood out. Seeing players off loading to team mates at pace was fantastic and it resulted in some wonderful tries.
Team A came second in their group with 3 wins and 2 defeats
Team B came in joint second (third on tries scored) with 4 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat.
Overall a great team display on a magnificent Indian Summer of a day.
Was it enough to get over the disappointment of England's exit in the group stages of The Rugby World Cup? Er, No. But it certainly eased the pain a little!
