Hemel Hempstead Camelot 2nd team ‘The Knights’ added another anther convincing win to their still unbeaten tally this season.The side now move up to top of their league with a massive points margin and one game still in hand.
Camelot Knights crushed Bishops Stortford 48-7 at home on Saturday with another fine display of their growing potential.
The team is comprised of a good balance of experienced players with some new and emerging young talent.
The Hemel side sprang into action at the start of the match to establish a 4 try lead at the end of the first half. The forwards continually dominated the opposition pack and fed the backline with plenty of scoring opportunities. The side continued to control the match in the second half, adding more points to the margin, except for one passage of play where they gave away territory with a series of penalties to allow the opposition a converted consolation try.
Alex Wilby had an excellent game, playing at Flyhalf, kicking a series of conversions & penalties, also scoring a try. The pack looked very impressive lead by Colin Campbell with the backs lead by Jamie Waterman running in several well executed tries.
The team play Hackney away this weekend and will look to continue their excellent form.
