Lairds cruised to their biggest victory of the season as they overcame an early deficit to put eight past Stone Dominoes and move up to 17th - 11 points clear of the bottom two.
The game started in nightmare fashion for the visitors as they lost goalkeeper Reece Quinn to injury in the warm-up which forced Emmanuel Uwimana to go between the sticks. However they overcame that adversity, and took the lead when they pounced on a mistake by Lairds in midfield and Ken Mather slotted home. It took the Cammells a while to get going, but they were level midway through the half as Caleb Jones was fouled in the box, and Bailey Thompson converted the resulting penalty. They led when Jack Davies headed home his first for the club after some tremendous wing play by Ryan Burke, and made it 3-1 when Dan Shearwood also grabbed his first for the club on his home debut as he rifled home a terrific long-range effort. And the excellent Burke made it four on the stroke of half time as Uwimana couldn't keep out his inswinging corner.
Lairds made it 5-1 when another terrific delivery by Burke was headed home by Paul Jewell, and substitute Rob Ablewhite added another after some superb approach play. Debutant Kyle Schorah made it seven off the bench, before Ablewhite grabbed his second to wrap up a thoroughly professional performance from the Cammells.
