As you are aware, the Club recently took the decision to step back to Stage C of the RFU’s Return to Rugby Roadmap, or Stage 3 of the England Touch Association’s Return to Play Plan, due to local circumstances and interventions as advised by Solihull MBC.
Head of Playing Affairs, Jim Looney, has continued to monitor and consult about the situation with the view to returning to Stage D of the RFU Return to Rugby Road map and Stage 4 of England Touch Association’s Return to Play Plan as quickly as we can. In view of the fact there is no reduction in cases in the Solihull area as reported by Solihull MBC, unfortunately the latest figures saw a rise, Camp Hill RCL will remain at Stage C/3 for the foreseeable future. Jim will continue to monitor the situation, at least every 2 weeks but sooner if anything changes.
The Club’s Committee really appreciate this is not what players want - you want to play and this situation is very frustrating for you - and it’s not what we want either but we have a responsibility to ensure Camp Hill RCL is kept safe and that we can play some form of rugby, whilst we are in these unprecedented times.
Also THANK YOU, you are doing our Club proud with your understanding and patience and adherence to COVID requirements - by doing this, you are helping to keep our Club open to be able to continue to provide rugby activity and the social element that comes with our sport.
As soon as we feel it is the right time to change the current position, we shall let you know. If you have any queries about this, please contact
Jim Looney - Seniors, Mixed Touch, Ladies Touch
Simon Fellows - Minis and Juniors, including Colts
Additionally if you have any COVID/Well-being/Mental Health queries or concerns, please contact our RugbySafe Officer Julie Nicholas; you can contact Jules confidentially via firstname.lastname@example.org
