Ladies and Gents, Boys and Girls we'd like to introduce you to your CHOGGS (aka Camp Hill Old Gits Gardening Society)
If anybody remembers The Wombles from back in the 70's, then the CHOGGS are in essence the same principal. i.e they wander around the Club doing most of the jobs that generally go un-noticed !
Marking the Pitches, cutting back hedges/trees, emptying the bins, a host of general repairs both inside and out to name but a few, are all done by your CHOGGS!
They meet every Tuesday, and quite often on other days of the week, so if your lucky enough to see one of these elusive creatures, feel free to pat them on the head and buy them a Pint !
As you can probably see from the resplendent CHOGGS uniform, this band of merry Men have been sponsored by (the aptly named) Pride in Gardens.
Based at Earlswood Nursery, Pride in Gardens are one of the area's most respected Landscape Gardeners and have already been contracted by a number of Club Members, who, will be more than happy to vouch for their standard of design, works and pricing. The Web site below will offer you contact details.
However, we would urge you to visit their Facebook Page to actually see for yourselves the schemes they undertake.
On behalf of The Club and your CHOGGS we are sure you'll join us in Thanking Dom Wilkinson, and all at Pride in Gardens for the support
