The Challenge PART DEUX
Return to 'The Shrine' from Eden Park, Auckland -Total Miles 14,435. This journey can only be undertaken by walking, running, swimming, cycling or scootering.
Each age group will be tasked with completing as many miles as they can to transport Camp Hill ‘en masse’
All participants will receive a medal at the end of the challenge.
To travel back to 'The Shrine' from Eden Park, you can make your way by walking/running, cycling or swimming (in line with social distancing rules).
A nominated coach/team manager from each age group will be in charge of collecting weekly mileage from their players and submitting it to the Shrine Tracker.
In order to ensure no one has an unfair advantage each activity will be worth the following mileage points.
Walking, Running, Swimming - 1 mile equals 1 mile recorded to the tracker every Sunday evening.
Cycling – 2 miles cycling equals 0.5 miles recorded to the tracker, (cycling requires less energy expenditure per mile than the other activities therefore attract less mileage points towards the target) and Scootering - 2 miles equals 1 mile (same principle as cycling)
You should Choose your activities wisely in order to maintain the maximum mileage points you can.
Please make sure you stick to the Government guidelines for outdoor exercise when completing your challenges. We encourage all players/team managers/coaches/families to get involved. What’s not, what's not to like!!
