A frustratingly slow start meant we were 14-0 down within the first 10 minutes and staring down the barrel of a gun. Once we got our act together and remembered the Camp Hill way of playing, we started to control the game more effectively and had Stone on the back foot for large periods.
The first half ended 21-10. The second half was a to and fro affair with forwards trading blows in the tight, both defences making space out wide limited. The effort and resolve from the ladies was immense. We won the second half 19-12 but ultimately fell just short.
A case of what could have been, the one that got away. The slow start cost us. We will continue learn.
The signs are good and the squad as a whole are getting better week by week. It's our first season in the leagues and we have already shown we belong here and can challenge any side. I am mightily proud of what we are creating at Camp Hill WRFC.
Next week we face Rugby Lionesses in the cup.
