The Raptors were well represented at the Wales Touch Nationals on 3rd and 4th June at Swansea University.

With the Raptors spread across the Cyclones, Titans and Warriors regions, it was great for us all to be playing against each other at the annual regional tournament.

The Titans women won the women's division, featuring Amberley Ruck, Amy Mallett & Sophie Twinam from the Raptors. This was the first time that the Titans have ever won a division at the Nationals, and the first time it was not a Cyclones/Warriors final in the women's division. With only seven players, most of which were also playing in the mixed team the girls did a fantastic job!
The Cyclones mixed team featuring Ciaran Monaghan, Ffion Hewlett, Jess Williams, Lewis Eynon, Louis Treyas, Megan Davies & Sarah Barrett won the Mixed division after being undefeated all weekend.
The Warriors men's team featuring Dan Rees, Harri Stallard and Lewis Hessey won the men's division after a tense drop off against the Cyclones. The Warriors region was crowned the overall winner of the 2017 tournament.

Some fantastic Touch was displayed all weekend and was great preparation for the upcoming Senior Touch Championships, Permit Competition, Mixed Open tour & Junior Touch Championships. More on those to follow...
