The Raptors were well represented at this years European Championships, held on home turf at Swansea University from 7th-10th August 2014.

The category containing the most Raptors was the Mixed Open. Martyn Seymour captained the team with Emily Baird as Vice Captain. Martyn & Emily were joined by Siwan Gruffudd, Richard House, Aled Livingstone, Katie O'Neill, Steffan Prytherch, Gareth Revell, Rhys Waite and Felicity Williams. The Mixed Open finished 3rd in the Championships, beating everyone except England, even defeating Scotland who were the eventual winners of the category.

Two of our youngest Raptors, Sophie Lewis (16) and Rachel Wasserman (15) made their International Touch debut in the Women's Open category. Both Sophie and Rachel put in a strong performance throughout the week, helping the Women's Open reach the final, narrowly missing out on the Gold to England. A Silver medal for the girls is a fantastic achievement for their first year representing Wales. Da iawn, girls!

Dan Rees, Rhydian Ayres and Dylan Adams represented once again this year for the Men's Open, Men's 35's and Men's 40's respectively. The Men's Open reached the final and claimed the Silver medal, and the Men's 35's took the bronze in their category. Huge congratulations goes to Dylan and the Men's 40's who were crowned European Champions!!

Two of our newest Raptors, cousins Amy & Maria Charley, represented Wales in the Women's Over 27's. Again, debuting for Wales, the girls gave the competition their all and both said how much they had enjoyed and learned from their experience at International level.

Well done to all involved!! We look forward to seeing how many Raptors will be heading out to Australia for the Touch World Cup next April!
