Touch Rugby Wales League Round 6

The Raptors took on Whitchurch Warriors in the 6th round of the Touch Rugby Wales Summer league, which has recently been taken over by the Welsh Rugby Union as part of their WRU Touch initiative.

Former Australian Mixed Open captain from the 2011 Touch World Cup and the two preceding Trans Tasman Touch series, Ryan Pollock, made his debut for the Raptors. Pollock was involved in assisting most of the scores for the Raptors.

The Raptors also welcomed Nick Seymour, who played his first match for the Raptors since the 2011 Pendine Sands Touch Tournament. Within seconds of his first touch of the ball, Seymour scored his first of two touchdowns for the Raptors.

The Raptors other scores came from Amy Charley (2), Siwan Gruffudd, Nina Worgan, and five from Gareth Revell.

Final score: Raptors 11, Whitchurch 5.

The Raptors will play Phoenix in the final round of the competition next Thursday, before the playoffs on July 17th.
