Wales Touch Series Round 3

Saturday 14th June saw Round 3 of the Wales Touch series take place in Llandysul. As per last year, the sun was shining for the tournament that saw the Raptors, Gorllewellin Gwyllt and two teams from the every expanding Gower Dragons compete against eachother. Each team played eachother once in full 40 minute matches.

First up the Raptors faced the Gower Dragons 2 team which resulted in a 12-1 win for the Raptors. Scores came from Martyn Seymour, Katie O'Neill, two from Siwan Gruffudd, a hat trick for Rhys Waite, and a very impressive five touchdowns for Steffan Prytherch.

The Raptors then played the Gower Dragons other team, with an 11-5 win for the Raptors. Scores came from Waite, O'Neill, two each from Gruffudd, Gareth Revell and Amberley Ruck, and a hat trick from Prytherch.

Last up were Gorllewin Gwyllt. The Raptors created scores for Ruck, Waite, debutant Kathryn Davies, and two each from Prytherch, Gruffudd and O'Neill. Final score Raptors 9, Gorllewin Gwyllt 3.

The Raptors secured the title of winners for the third round of the WTS. This puts them at the top of the table for the 2014 Wales Touch Series with one more round t play on 30th August 2014. The full table cam be found on the Wales Touch website: www.walestouch.co.uk
