Hard on the heels of a series of first aid courses held over the last three weekends, the club are pleased to announce that a heart defibrillator will be installed at the club early in September. We have been very fortunate to have the cost of the equipment, £1500+, fully covered through the generosity by a charity, the Heavies Foundation , supported by the Community Heartbeat Trust. Installation will be accompanied by a course on correct use of the kit. The course, details in due time, will be an in person rather than a "Zoom" call.
Whilst the provision of the machine is FREE, we have agreed to circulate members, asking them if they are able, to contribute to their fund raising efforts . The charity are solely funded by donations for the betterment of the rugby community. Any and all contributions would be greatly appreciated, allowing them to continue their work to supply more defibs to more rugby clubs. Please use the link below to make a donation.
The Ride Across Britain will be calling at Carlisle (hopefully at Carlisle RFC) on Wednesday, 8th September. Make a note in your diary and we will publish more details when times are known.
