Carlisle vs Penrith Rugby Union Under 12 Match

Last Sunday saw the renewal of the old rivalry between Carlisle and Penrith Rugby Union's Under 12's. Most the players taking part have played against each other since their under 7's squad days. After last seasons opener where Penrith came out emphatic winners. From that defeat Carlisle went on to have a very successful season which culminated in the winning of the Tynedale Sevens Tournament. This years opening game saw a much closer encounter between the two competitive sides.

Victory for Carlisle was taken from them in the last minute of the game with the final result being 42 -35. This year saw both sets of players showing their improving ball handling, tackling, running and kicking skills.

Carlisle's try scorers were Conor Mossop with two tries, Harry Henderson with one try, Harry also converted all 5 tries scored by Carlisle. Also making it onto the scoreboard were Tristan Duncan – man of the match – and Euan Forlow.

This next Sunday sees Carlisle's Under 12's hosting a team from Kendal. None of the Carlisle squad have played against Kendal so all are looking forward to the game.
