After over two months since our last game it was a relief to get on the road again to play at Northern. We had an early start as many of the boys needed to get back for the Carlisle Everton match.
We looked rusty and went down two tries early in the first half, missed tackles contributing to easy scores for Northern. A new found resilience kept Northern at bay for the remainder of the half.
The second half found us with less possession than the first and Northern camped on our line for fifteen minute before scoring. Our resilience was impressive. We then gained some possession but struggled to find the control that was needed to build phases and apply pressure. Northern scored a good try with the full back finding a mismatch with very tired forwards on the wing this was the final play of the match.
We didn't play as well as we can but under immense pressure managed to keep the score down and pull together as a team. This match will set us up for better things over the remainder of the season.
