Under 15's audition for The Voice
An away competition to start to the season as under 15's visit the land of the Prince Bishop's.
Sunday 11th September saw Carlisle U15’s travelling to Durham City RFC for a round robin festival with local rivals Penrith and the hosts Durham City. Carlisle actually collected Penrith enroute.
The first match was played between Carlisle and Durham City. Unfortunately the new season cobwebs and early start did not help Carlisle who lost the game 17 - 0. Carlisle were only able to travel with 14 players with Durham able to select from their entire squad who were all match fit after a recent tour.
The second game played against Penrith allowed Carlisle to produce some better controlled rugby with the score 12 - 12 with only a couple of minutes to go when Penrith managed a late try to come out on top 19 -12
The Carlisle scorers were, tries from Thomas Maughan, Jonathan Park and a conversion from Harry Hetherington.
It can be safely said that Carlisle did come out on top during the sing song on the way home.
