A combination of factors had conspired to reduce our hosts to only 9 starting players. So this being our last day of the tour we split our resources and played a Barbarians game that allowed players to demonstrate their skills in unfamiliar positions! The team wearing the Carlisle shirts came out in top, but both clubs were the winners as skills on show demonstrated competance and unfamiliarity in equal measure.
Highlight of the day was a drop goal from centre (prop) Jack Freshwater which earned him the man of the match award from the Malone coaches. Our hosts for the day were magnificent, in keeping with all the other clubs we have visited on this marvellous trip.
