Carlton kick off their bank holiday weekend fixtures with a home tie against newly promoted Lichfield City. The Millers are one of only two remaining sides in the league to boast a 100% record but that of course means there is a target on their back and Lichfield will be buoyed by their positive start in the league and the point they gained against Belper Town in midweek to add to their victory against Bedworth which sees the visitors slap bang in mid table with four points. Jude Taylor and Tom Brown have already registered goals for Lichfield City this year.
Carlton could not have asked for a better start. Two wins away from home, including a 3-0 victory against Loughborough Students in midweek and a last minute 2-1 win against Bourne in their opening home game at Stoke Lane. That, coupled with a 6-1 win in the FA Cup and the Nottinghamshire side are enjoying life in the Midlands, so far. Ash Chambers netted again against the Scholars and has started his time at Carlton well but with so many others finding the target already, Carlton are a real threat.
