Carlton make the short trip to Grange Park for a Bank Holiday Monday clash with Long Eaton United.
The Blues are in good form early in the campaign and responded well to their opening day defeat to Corby with back to back league wins against Mickleover and Shepshed Dynamo, scoring five goals in the process and earning two clean sheets. The home side haven’t played since that win against Shepshed so will be fresh and raring to go. A win here would move them well up the table.
Carlton will be looking to bounce back at this earliest opportunity from the disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Lichfield City on Saturday. The Millers had much the better of the attacking chances but couldn’t add to their league total seven goals so far this season.
The last time these two met was during the 22/23 season in the East division when a 98th minute penalty salvaged a point for the Millers. The visitors haven’t lost away from home yet this year but Grange Park provides their sternest test yet and any points won here should be highly valued.
