Carlton travel to league leaders and the only side in the division yet to lose a game, Belper Town next in another stern test of the Millers mettle.
The Nailers, like Carlton were moved back into the Midlands division from the East where they finished just outside the playoffs a couple of seasons ago but made it into the top five last year but fell in the semi final to Stocksbridge Park Steels, who went on to gain promotion.
This year though the hosts have been in fine form. Unbeaten in their nine contests, they’ve only failed to take maximum points at home once, that in a 1-1 draw with Rugby Town. They are top of the form table and on a run of three straight league wins. They have the best goal difference in the division, have only conceded six all year and are two points clear at the top of the table. Whichever way you slice it, this is a tough prospect.
Carlton recovered from that damaging 4-0 loss last week against RC Warwick with a solid enough win at home against St Neots at the weekend. Ash Chambers the man on target with both goals on that occasion. Despite that recent loss, the Millers are still in decent form in the league but are playing catch up in terms of games played and have a heavy workload this month. Belper had the weekend off from competitive action so will be fresh for this one.
