Carlton welcome Rugby Town to the Bill Stokeld Stadium for their final league game of 2025. The Millers have been on the road for several weeks and return home on the back of their fifth straight win. Carlton’s last home game was a 5-1 drubbing of Sutton Coldfield and the 3-1 victory last weekend against Rushden & Diamonds means the Millers are the league’s top scorers as well as the form side in the division. Their home record isn’t as stellar as that away from home, they’ve played the fewest games at home of any side in the league and whilst only four sides can better the Millers’ home record, two of their three league defeats have occurred at NG4. Since the beginning of October the home side have won twelve games, draw once and lost once. All that means of course, is the scalp to beat the Millers becomes all the bigger. Lamin Manneh has six goals in the last four games and Ash Chambers’ goal at the weekend secured his position at the top of the league scoring charts for now.
Rugby Town had a superb run throughout October and early November. They were unbeaten, winning 5 games including victories against Coleshill and Long Eaton but since mid November they’ve only picked up one point and have lost four games including the inaugural Rugby derby. However, that slump was arrested with victory against in form RC Warwick a couple of weeks ago, so there’s renewed confidence in the visitor’s camp coming in to the festive fixtures. They should also be renewed energy given they had a break last weekend.
